Of all Things to do in Tokyo - Ginza Tokyo is the most Chic. The area is famous for elegant Tokyo Reastaurants and Tokyo entertainment. It's a busy commercial quarter during day time and an elegant
Tokyo nightlife
spot. It has a unique mixture of traditional and trendy.

To get the feeling of what its like, visit the area at least twice. Once during the day for the
Tokyo Shopping,
and Tokyo fashion.
Every designer brand name in fashion has a boutique here. The iconic clock tower is from world war 2. Japanese were influenced by Western culture, including architecture. The clock tower was built in 1932, and stands at the north-west corner of the junction of Chuo and Harumi Dori.
If you need a rest from too much retail therapy - go to Mitsukoshi department store building (opposite the clock tower). On the second floor you'll find La'Duree- a well known Parisian Cafe which offers a great view on the clock tower, the famous intersection and Tokyo's fashionable crowd.
Another not to be missed spot is Sony Building - four floors of the newest products by Sony- high definition televisions, cameras, mobile computers, mobile phones and Play Station are all displayed in the showrooms for all gadget lovers to try.
On weekend afternoons, the central street - Chuo Dori, is closed to traffic and becomes a large pedestrian street(between 14:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays and from 12:00 to 17:00 on Sundays).
In the evening go to a Ginza Tokyo restaurant. In Ginza, Japanese cuisine is at it's best. In the evenings designer label buildings light up, and it's a breathtaking scene. The whole Ginza Tokyo area has become a play ground for architects. Architecture in Ginza is one of the main Tokyo attractions.
Ginza Architecture
Hermes-(5-4-1, Chuo-ku, Tokyo)The Hermes boutique was built by Italian architect Renzo Piano. At night it looks like a large lantern because of the glass tiles all made by hand in Italy. Louis Vuitton - (7-6-1, Chuo-ku, Tokyo).Tokyo has been the largest market for Louis Vuitton, and here is one of their major stores in the world. Flat opaque stone tiles are randomly scattered on the walls of the building. Lights come through the opaque material. The architect is the Japanese Jun Aoki.
Mikimoto- 2-(2-4-12, Chuo-ku, Tokyo).Toyo Ito, a very well known Japanese architect designed Mikimoto's boutique here. Windows in different shapes and sizes make the building look like a luxurious jewelry box at night.
De Beers -(2-5-11, Chuo-ku, Tokyo).Jun Mitsui, a Japanese architect, designed this building with the curvy shape. The concept was to maximize the light reflection from different angles during different hours of the day, just like the high-quality diamond of De Beers. Search TokyoTopGuide.com
