Major Attractions In Tokyo
1 Day Tokyo Tour

Major Attractions In Tokyo –Your absolutely free Tokyo Tours guide for a 1 Day Tokyo tour. Coolest Things To Do in Tokyo, including best time to visit Tokyo places.

If you have only one day in Tokyo, the first thing you should do is change your schedule and book at least three more.
Tokyo wasn't built in one day, and attractions in Tokyo shouldn't be visited in a day either.

You also need to consider that Tokyo weather can be extreme. So what is the best month to visit Tokyo?
Since at least two of Tokyo's seasons are very extreme - that’s the cold and dry winter and the hot and humid summer, Tokyo best time of year would be the glorious Autumn and the spectacular Spring.

Barring that, I assure you – you can enjoy Tokyo attractions even if you don't arrive at the best time To Visit Tokyo.

Business meetings take place all year round. Not everyone can control the date of their Tokyo vacation.

So lace up your walking shoes and let's get busy planning your 1 day Tokyo tour, covering all major tourist attractions in Tokyo.

1 Day Tokyo Tour
Attractions In Tokyo

Tourist attractions in Tokyo, like the city itself, can be divided into two –
The sophisticated modern, trendy attractions, and on the other hand - the traditional cultural life, with unique customs and a time pace from another world.
So, wake up early on your one day in Tokyo. You will be starting your Tokyo tours from the extreme, high pace Tokyo attractions.

  • Tsukiji fish market – start off with a bang by visiting the largest seafood market in the world. Fish worth millions of dollars exchange hands here every day by auction.
Be prepared to get up very early in the morning if you're up to it, since the daily tuna auction starts at 5:00 am and ends at 06:30.
When you feel ready for breakfast, Join the line for a breakfast experience from another world - the freshest sashimi you will ever eat.

  • Roppongi hills and Mori tower – one of the major attractions in Tokyo. Start with Tokyo City View observatory which is on the 52 floor in Mori Tower. This viewing deck gives you a 360 degrees view of Tokyo skyline. An opportunity to see just how huge this city is. In the early mornings (mainly during winter) you'll catch the sight of Mount Fuji in the distance. The Mori Art Museum is worth a visit too. It has great exhibitions of international artists. Shopping and dining happens on the first floors of Mori Tower and the adjoining buildings, there are Couture fashion boutiques and chic restaurants.

  • Next, explore Shibuya - huge department stores and sparkling neon signs. Shibuya has something of a futuristic atmosphere. You'll see crowds of Japanese girls wearing the latest and sometimes extreme Japanese fashion trends in the streets. Its main intersection is called "Tokyo's Times Square". If your stomach is starting to rumble, you can find quick places to eat Ramen soup or other Traditional Japanese food in this area.

  • After lunch – it's time for a Japanese garden - Rikugien is to my opinion the most beautiful of major attractions in Tokyo thanks to being relatively out-of-the-way. You can easily forget that you are in the city. After a leisurely walk through the garden, you arrive at the tiny Japanese tea house. Take the time to have Matcha green tea and Japanese sweets in the Japanese tea house.

  • After the leisurely atmosphere head for Meiji Shrine - one of the most beautiful shrines in Tokyo. It’s a Shinto shrine, located near Harajuku Station and Yoyogi Park. It's a great contrast to the intense pace and noise of Tokyo to enter the forest surrounding the shrine.

  • After marveling at the Shrine, make your way to Omotesando street, which is also called "Tokyo's fifth avenue". A walk down Omotesando is like a compressed tour in contemporary architecture. It seems that the flagship stores for the big designer labels compete whose is the most lavish, and up to date. This fashion avenue hosts names such as Armani, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Christian Dior and many more. At dusk all the buildings light up and create an exceptional display.

  • For sunset views of the city pick one of the exceptional Tokyo restaurants sure to please every budget and taste. Tokyo Food is one of the major attractions in Tokyo. The city also has a name for its Romantic Tokyo Restaurants, and there is plenty of Entertainment in Tokyo thereafter.
