The museum ticket includes admission to the City View observatory which is on the 52 floor. This viewing deck gives you a superb 360 degrees view of the city, the best you can get in my opinion.

I find it hard to decide what is the best time to visit the observatory. In the early mornings (mainly during winter) you'll catch the sight of Mt Fuji in the distance, at night time the sight of the city lights is stunning.


There is a Bar at the same floor, with glass walls and transparent shelves. This is one of the most Romantic things to do in Tokyo.

• 21-21 Design Sight is different from the rest of the Museums as it was built as a research center for design. The purpose was to share design ideas between designers, craftsmen and companies.
  The building is a masterpiece in itself, built by one of Japan's renowned architects Tadao Ando.
