Roppongi Tokyo - Elegant Tokyo Attractions

There's nothing like the Chic atmosphere of Roppongi Hotels.

If you want to stay in a Tokyo Hotel that is located right in the middle of everything – then choose a Roppongi Hotel.

The area is home to some of the Best Tokyo Restaurants and Tokyo Nightlife scene. From best Bars in Tokyo, through to traditional Japanese foods in the local Izakaya's, there's something for every taste and budget. A cheerful and loud Atmosphere is granted.

It's also called the 'Art triangle' because some of the most exciting Tokyo Museums are here.

This lively district is also home to Roppongi Hills, a sleek complex of Couture fashion boutiques, Roppongi Hotels and the Best Tokyo Skyline observatory which is on the 52 floor.

Shopping, dining and Hotels happen on the first floors of Roppongi Hills and the adjoining buildings.

Virgin Toho Cinemas is a nine-screen cinema with futuristic décor, which is open all night. You can catch a late night movie after your dining/night club.

  • The Mori Art Museum in Mori Tower has great exhibitions of international artists. Original exhibitions of emerging and established artists. It also has a great bookstore where you can spend an hour or two without noticing.

The museum is on the 53 floor (opening hours 10:00 AM to 22:00 PM, until 17:00 PM on Tues).

  • The museum ticket includes admission to the City View observatory which is on the 52 floor. This viewing deck gives you a superb 360 degrees view of the city, the best you can get in my opinion.

I find it hard to decide what is the best time to visit the observatory. In the early mornings (mainly during winter) you'll catch the sight of Mt Fuji in the distance, at night time the sight of the city lights is stunning.

There is a Bar at the same floor, with glass walls and transparent shelves. This is one of the most Romantic things to do in Tokyo.

  • The Tokyo national museum of Art.
  • The Suntory Art Museum - From all Museums in Tokyo, this Museum focuses on the traditional art of Japan. The Collection includes traditional Japanese craft products like Japanese Tea sets and Japanese Tea pots.
There is also a tea ceremony room inside the museum. The Japanese tea ceremony is held every second Thursday at 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00, no reservations are required.

  • 21-21 Design Sight is different from the rest of the Museums as it was built as a research center for design. The purpose was to share design ideas between designers, craftsmen and companies.
The building is a masterpiece in itself, built by one of Japan's renowned architects Tadao Ando.

These 4 unique Tokyo museums have teamed up to make this area an art and cultural district. Once you buy a ticket to enter one of these Tokyo museums, you'll get a discount on admission fee for the other Museums in Tokyo.

Roppongi is within walking distance from Aoyama, Omotesando, Shibuya and Harajuku.
