	In Tokyo, the festival takes place around the end of March and beginning of April. If the weather during the months before the season is relatively mild, Sakura Blossoms will open early.
	Sakura blossoms are relatively short. Sakura trees bloom is usually reached within one week after the opening of the first blossoms. A week later, the Sakura blossoms peak is over and the Sakura flower is falling from the trees.
	The Sakura trees - the cherry blossom, are actually the national flower of Japan. It signifies the arrival of spring.

	It's very common to reserve a picnic spot. Some places are so popular, you have to spread a picnic sheet early in the morning and mark it with your name and starting time, or have somebody stand there the whole day!!
	Hanami, the national cherry blossom festival viewing, includes some great traditional activities. It's an opportunity to celebrate, wind down, and generally fool around a bit. Friends and family picnic with food, beer, and hot sake (rice wine).
