The Last Samurai Movie

The first is 'The Last Samurai' movie. Tom Cruise plays the role of Captain Algren, who is hired by Americans who are interested in profitable contracts with the Emperor of Japan.

The Americans were called to train the Japanese warriors.

The Last Samurai movie focuses on the rebellion of the Japanese warriors, who rejected the Westernized policy and the use of guns.

Finally, wounded by the Samurai, Tom Cruise life is spared by the Japanese warrior's leader.
In 'The Last Samurai' Movie he learns to respect the Bushido code and participates as a consultant in the failed rebellion of the warriors.

The Last Samurai Soundtrack

The Last Samurai movie Soundtrack is Superb.
Zimmer, the composer, fused ethnic instruments into it in a very exciting way.

The most striking aspect of the Soundtrack is the use of Authentic Traditional Japanese instruments, like Taiko drums. These drums were actually used during by the Japanese warriors in the battlefield.

Zimmer composed several other modern films music ('Gladiator') but in 'The last Samurai' Movie he takes American themes and mixes them with Traditional Japanese instruments.

This is a great way to symbolize the process in which Tom Cruise's American character, Nathan Algren, learns to respect the bushido code. Tom Cruise is taken into the Japanese culture with gentle ethnic instrumentation in the background.

The Last Samurai Soundtrack really captures the process of Algren's character beginning to understand the Bushido code.

Another One Of The Famous Samurai Movies

Authentic Japanese swords (c) at Stockxchng The second movie which brought worldwide admiration to the Japanese swords was 'Kill Bill'.
'The Bride' - Uma Thurman - who was almost slaughtered during her wedding, wakes up from her Coma and starts her journey for revenge. She arrives at a Tokyo Izakaya (you can actually visit it) looking for one of her attackers, and loudly announces her presence from the restaurant floor.

In this famous deadly scene Uma Thurman fights by herself a whole gang of Japanese warriors armed with Authentic samurai swords.
She announces to the defeated 'Crazy 88' that they may run off, but they must leave behind their detached limbs, which belong to her now.

The scene ends when 'The Bride' fights O-Ren – her former Attacker, with a Japanese sword in the snow.
'The Bride' wins by slicing off the top of O-Ren's head. Before she dies, O-Ren remarks that the sword must really be an Antique sword – a Hanzo.
