  • Asakusa is the city's old town. It is famous for Sensoji Temple, and the small traditional streets surrounding it.

  • Tsukiji fish market - the largest open-air fish market in the world. It is one of the most remarkable things to do in Tokyo. Fish worth millions of dollars are sold each day by auction.

  • Roppongi Hills and Mori tower are a complex which offers up-scale shopping, restaurants, and a superb modern art gallery. Also the best Tokyo skyline observatory on the 54th floor.

  • The Imperial Palace - The Palace gardens are public parks and you can visit them and enjoy the sight of some of the unique Tokyo Attractions - a Japanese palace, Nijumbashi Bridge and the Japanese style garden.

  • Omotesando - also called the city's 'fifth avenue'. The best time to visit this fashion street is at dusk when all buildings light up and create an exceptional display.
    The Avenue hosts names such as Armani, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Christian Dior and many more.

  • Ginza - Fabulous shopping opportunities, Designer labels and high end department stores.


    Sony building in Ginza is a must, even if you're not the gadget type.

  • Harajuku is the center of Tokyo teens most extreme Harajuku Gothic fashion and Japanese Cosplay. This is one of the most unique things to do in Japan.

  • Meiji Jingu Shrine - a shrine dedicated to the Emperor Meiji, located in Yoyogi Park. Various traditional Japanese festivals are held at this shrine each year, including Shinto wedding ceremonies.

    Another good option would be from the World Trade Center Building at JR Hamamatsucho station which, although not as high, offers stunning views of Tokyo Tower and the waterfront due to its excellent location.


  • One of the best Things to do with kids in Tokyo is Disneyland Toyko. Don't go there during the crowded weekends or Japanese Holidays.

  • If you need to calm down, head to one of Tokyo's Japanese style gardens. The Japanese gardens are certainly one of the best things to do in Tokyo. Best time to visit Tokyo Japanese style Gardens is during spring or Autumn. Participating in the Japanese Tea Ceremonies held at the gardens is a great way to be introduced to the Ancient Japanese Culture.

    Kabuki-Cho is the red light district. This is one of the only thing to do in Tokyo which is a little 'rough', with sales people standing in front of gadgets shops and being 'pushy'.

  • Odaiba is a futuristic business district. Getting there is half the fun - you ride a train without a driver.
    Some of the extravagant Odaiba Tokyo attractions include a shopping mall imitating an 18th century European town, a huge wheel that offers beautiful views of Tokyo bay and a few of the most Romantic Things to do in Tokyo.
