Unfortunately, there are no printed guides to Tokyo Disney Sea in English.

- 'Mira Costa' and the Ambassador hotel, provide English guides for their guests.

What Are The Major Attractions In Tokyo Disney Sea?
The Park is made of seven themed lands. Like other Disney parks, Tokyo Disney Sea is arranged more or less in a circle around a center which is the Mysterious Island. The volcano named Mount Prometheus is situated in the middle of the park. Tokyo Disney Sea is a family park, but the restaurants are more elegant and the some of the shows are more suitable for adults.
Mediterranean Harbor will be the first thing you see when you enter Tokyo Disney Sea, it's the main street.
There is a five-star Tokyo Disney hotel -
The Hotel MiraCosta
- built right into the park. The Tokyo Disney hotel is right at the main entrance of the park. It's easy to miss it because it was designed so well and blends into the scenery of Mediterranean Harbor. You can see a photo of this Tokyo Disney hotel right bellow.

Top 7 Things To Do In Tokyo Disney Sea
Like Disneyland Tokyo and any other place in Tokyo for that matter, the park is spotless and meticulously cleaned.
- Fortress Explorations - there are two areas to explore here. One is a castle containing great displays and activities, some entertaining and some educational. One room has a model of the solar system, another room contains a giant pendulum clock and outside there are cannons which you can fire out into Mediterranean Harbor.
The second attraction here is the harbor dock. There are Venetian Gondolas that take you for a tour around the waterways of Mediterranean Harbor. The gondoliers even sing like in Venice.
Tokyo Disney Sea also has the Transit Steamer Line which stops in three places: Mediterranean Harbor, Lost River Delta and American Waterfront.
A bit confusing - Mysterious Island is not an island at all. It is part of Mount Prometheus, the giant volcano that is the center of the park. Mount Prometheus is an active volcano (thanks to Disney magic…) with steam and geysers shooting up in the air. The main inspiration for Mysterious Island was Jules Verne. It is the smallest area of the Park but it contains two of its biggest attractions:'Journey to the Center of the Earth' and '20,000 Leagues under the Sea'.
'Journey to the Center of the Earth' is one of the most thrilling attractions in Tokyo Disneyland Japan. It is an exciting dark ride on a winding way down to the earth's core. Along the way you pass crystal caves and strange creatures. Several large elevators transport you at high speed down below the earth's surface. The vehicles are large strong cars with giant shovels on the front which look hardy enough to actually take you underground.
The ride is breathtaking and can be scary. If you or your children have no tolerance for
special effects
– forget it, but otherwise it is a huge attraction not to be missed.
'20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' takes you on a journey in the footsteps of Captain Nemo - Jules Verne's character. There is a full size replica of the Nautilus submarine parked in the middle of Mysterious Island, but you ride a mini-sub called the Neptune. The ride scenery includes fish, sunken ships, a giant squid and a trip through the lost city of Atlantis.
Mermaid Lagoon is inspired by the movie 'The Little Mermaid'. 'Underwater kingdom' area is home to the Little Mermaid Ariel and her friends. The exterior of the underwater kingdom is especially beautiful at night, when special effects and lights turn it into a show by itself.
The inside of the underwater kingdom is as beautiful as the outside. The use of lighting effects is stunning, and you are surrounded by kelp, coral shapes and glowing jellyfish.
This part of Tokyo Disney Sea is more suitable for kids.
Other attractions here include a short ride on a roller coaster. There is a height requirement, so very small children cannot ride it.
Scuttle's Scooters is a circular trip with cars that rotate 180 degrees, suitable for all ages.
Jumpin' Jellyfish is great for kids. There is a gondola hanging underneath a giant blow fish. The blow fish rises in the air and starts to spinning in a circle fast enough for it to be fun. Try to get one of the seats near the rail that face into Mermaid Lagoon. These seats give you a nice view of the area as you go up.
The Mermaid Lagoon Theater features a very special show called 'Under the Sea' with scenes from the movie The Little Mermaid. It's a combination of music, live performers, large-scale puppets and animation. The action happens around and above you as Ariel, the Little Mermaid, swims around the theater.
Arabian Coast is a place that creates the exotic world of '1001 Arabian Nights' with stunning detail. Another inspiration here is Aladdin, the popular Disney movie.
'Sinbad's Storybook Voyage' is a ride in a flat-bottomed boat that follows Sinbad the Sailor adventures. Along the journey you visit Far East towns, discover treasures and come across three-dimensional cartoon characters like mermaids and ape men.
Wonderful Arabian-themed music completes the atmosphere on this beautiful ride.
This attraction can be scary for small kids since some of the characters appear very real. The characters speak in Japanese, but there's no problem to follow the story.
The Magic Lamp Theater has a 3D movie which also includes live performers on the show. The movie and the live performers work together perfectly and the effect is very convincing. The dialog is in Japanese, but the show is entertaining even if you don't understand what they're saying.
The Caravan Carousel is a good old-fashioned merry-go-round.
Lost River Delta replicates an isolated district in the jungles of South America. The biggest inspiration here is Indiana Jones adventures. The Indiana Jones Aztec pyramid is visible from anywhere in the Lost River Delta, and helps you find your way around. Here you can take a jeep for an adventurous ride. Raging Spirits is a roller coaster taking you to the site of ancient ceremonial ruins. This coaster's main characteristic is a 360-degree loop. The train passes through smoke, making the scene very mysterious for the riders.
Port Discovery can be called Tokyo Disney Sea's Tomorrow land. Storm Rider is a flight-simulator aircraft whose mission is to fly into the middle of a storm and drive away the storm with fuse missiles. Along the way there are quite a few surprises. The pre-show (and your pilot's dialog aboard the aircraft) are in Japanese.
Aquatopia is transportation vehicles on water which you have no control over. It can be a wild ride. The watercraft twists and turns between rocks and whirlpools. This attraction is suitable for kids and adults.
The Tokyo Disney Sea Electric Railway runs between the New York Harbor section of American Waterfront and Port Discovery. Riding the Electric Railway is a nice way to get the view of this area of the Park.
The American Waterfront represents the coast of the USA in the early 20th century. It has an 'Old Cape Cod' section, and a 'New York Harbor' section. The S. S. Columbia is a full-size model of a steam-powered luxury liner. The ship is a fun place to explore. It has a couple of restaurants inside it too.
There is only one major attraction in this area of the park - the Tower of Terror. This is probably Disneyland Japan Tokyo most exciting attraction.
The Tower of Terror can be seen from just about anywhere in the Park. Like the rest of Tokyo Disney Sea, its design and attention to detail is superb. It is even more striking at night, when there are special-effects lighting.
It's classified as a thrill ride, but what makes this attraction so fantastic is the buildup to this attraction that starts before you even get in line.
Tower of Terror has a background story: Harrison Hightower III was a wealthy explorer and collector. On New Year's Eve 1899, he planned to hold a press conference in his luxurious Hotel Hightower to announce his purchase of a statue named Shiriki Utundu on an expedition to Africa. As Mr. Hightower was taking his statue to the hotel's penthouse, the elevator mysteriously crashed down to the ground. The statue was the only thing found in the elevator, Mr. Hightower disappeared without a trace. The hotel remained closed for over 100 years, but was recently opened to allow people to view Mr. Hightower's collection of treasures.
The 'tour' of the hotel starts in the lobby where you can see the destroyed elevator. Then you walk into Mr. Hightower's private office.
The special effects here are amazing, including a 'crash' of the elevator while you ride it.
The Disney Sea Electric Railway runs between the New York Harbor section of American Waterfront and Port Discovery. The Tokyo Disney Sea railway has stations at both ends and serves as transportation between the two areas of the Park. The American Waterfront station is under a bridge near the Broadway Theater. It's a peaceful ride, and serves as a nice way to get a view of this area of the Park.
The Broadway Music Theatre offers a live musical show.
