Tokyo Disney Sea is a family park, but the restaurants are more elegant and the some of the shows are more suitable for adults.

Mediterranean Harbor will be the first thing you see when you enter Tokyo Disney Sea, it's the main street.

There is a five-star Tokyo Disney hotel - The Hotel MiraCosta The Hotel MiraCosta - built right into the park.
The Tokyo Disney hotel is right at the main entrance of the park. It's easy to miss it because it was designed so well and blends into the scenery of Mediterranean Harbor.

Must Do In Tokyo Disney Sea

Comparing to Disneyland Rides the rides at Tokyo Disney Sea are faster and more thrilling.


  • Lost River Delta replicates an isolated district in the jungles of South America. The biggest inspiration here is Indiana Jones adventures. Here you can take a jeep for an adventurous ride.
    Raging Spirits is a roller coaster taking you to the site of ancient ceremonial ruins. This coaster's main characteristic is a 360-degree loop.

  • Journey to the center of the earth (Mysterious island - The main inspiration for Mysterious Island was Jules Verne.
    It contains two of the biggest Disneyland attractions: 'Journey to the Center of the Earth' and '20,000 Leagues under the Sea'. 'Journey to the Center of the Earth' is an exciting dark ride on a winding way down to the earth's core.
    Along the way you pass crystal caves and strange creatures. Several large elevators transport you at high speed down below the earth's surface.
    The vehicles are large strong cars with giant shovels on the front which look hardy enough to actually take you underground.
    Not all children enjoy this thrilling ride. Otherwise it's a huge attraction not to be missed.
  • 20,000 leagues under the sea (Mysterious island) takes you on a journey in the footsteps of Captain Nemo - Jules Verne's character.
    There is a full size replica of the Nautilus submarine parked in the middle of Mysterious Island, but you ride a mini-sub called the Neptune.
    The ride scenery includes fish, sunken ships, a giant squid and a trip through the lost city of Atlantis.


    This is a tame ride suitable for kids. You can also control a torch light to shine on certain parts of the sea.


  • Sinbad's Storybook voyage (Arabian Coast)is a ride in a boat that follows Sinbad the Sailor adventures.
    Along the journey you visit Far East towns, discover treasures and come across three-dimensional cartoon characters like mermaids and ape men. Wonderful Arabian-themed music completes the atmosphere on this beautiful ride.
    This attraction can be scary for small kids since some of the characters appear very real.

  • Port Discovery can be called Tokyo Disney Sea's Tomorrow land. Storm Rider is a flight-simulator aircraft whose mission is to fly into the middle of a storm and drive away the storm with fuse missiles. Along the way there are quite a few surprises.The pre-show (and your pilot's dialog aboard the aircraft) are in Japanese.Aquatopia is transportation vehicles on water which you have no control over. It can be a wild ride. The watercraft twists and turns between rocks and whirlpools. This attraction is suitable for kids and adults.

  • The Tower of Terror can be seen from just about anywhere in the Park.
    It is classified as a thrill ride, but what makes this attraction so fantastic is the buildup that starts before you even get in line.
    The story goes that the owner of hotel hightower disappeared years ago, after he found a mysterious statue. You are invited to tour the hotel, but as you take the elevators, the statue appears and makes all sorts of creepy things happen.
    The special effects here are amazing, including a 'crash' of the elevator while you ride it.


Best Tokyo Disney Sea Shows

Disney Sea Tokyo has the best shows in Tokyo Disneyland Resort.Watch for the show times and plan to catch the shows. Disney sea Tokyo gets really crowded at noon time.


The fireworks are actually behind the Mediterranean harbor and you can see them all over the park.


  • The Mermaid Lagoon Theatre featuring the little mermaid is a 15 mins performance that plays throughout the day. Ariel will perform songs with her friends from her movie. The actors perform above you and makes you feel like you are Under the sea.

  • The Magic Lamp Theatre (Arabian Coast) is a 3D movie together with live actors performing the story of Aladdin. You can get a device that shows English subtitles for the show.
  • Mystic Rhythyms (Lost River delta)is a Cirque de Soleil type of performance where actors playing animals and spirits tell a story about the Spirit of Fire, Water and Earth.
  • Big Band Beat (American Waterfront) is a live jazz show by Disney characters.

  • Best Disney Sea Tokyo Parades

    There are two parades/shows, both held at the lagoon in the center of the park.
    The day lagoon show is called 'The legend of Mythica'.
    The night time show is called 'BraviSEAmo'.
    You can see them from nearly anywhere around the lagoon, but the best views are from the Mediterranean Harbor.
    If you are staying in the fabulous Hotel Mira Costa, the rooms facing Mediterranean Harbor have gorgeous views for Disney Sea water shows and fireworks.


    Best Restaurants In Tokyo Disney Sea

    Cape Cod Cook-Off is a burgers eatery with a performance called 'Donald's Boat Builders'. The last performance usually takes place at 6pm.


    Horizon Bay Restaurant (Port Discovery)has Disney Characters greeting you as you enter. It’s a great opportunity to take photos.


    Magellan's (at Fortress Explorations), The Teddy Roosevelt Lounge and S.S. Columbia Dining Room (in the SS Colombia) all serve a more upscale menu and are very beautifully designed, each one with its own unique theme.
