Capsule Hotels
Are there any good capsule hotels which accept Women travelers?
Ideally one that's inexpensive, and reasonably easy to reach from Narita airport, assuming that I'll be only able to leave from Narita airport around 22:00 or 22:30.
The easiest place for me to get to should be Nippori and Ueno, though staying in Narita town is also not a bad option!

Hi Ellyse,
Staying in a Capsule Hotel is a great solution for a cheap hotel in Tokyo.
You are so right - not all Capsule Hotels accept women because of security issues -
Bath rooms and Rest rooms are shared by all guests. The open side of the capsule is shut by a curtain or a screen, and it is unlocked.
But don't despair - See this page for a list of
Capsule Hotels that do accept women, and have separate areas for men and women.
It takes one hour to get to Tokyo from the Airport, so perhaps it's a good idea to stay the first night in
Narita Airport Hotels.
Although I must say the Tokyo subway is very safe. Women visiting the city generally feel that traveling by yourself is very pleasant in Tokyo.
See this page for
Transportation from Narita Airport to Tokyo.Staying in a Capsule Hotel is not the only option for an
Affordable/Cheap Hotel in Tokyo. For many years Tokyo was considered a very expensive travel destination. But these days are over "thanks" to recession in Japan.
In fact you can have a Tokyo vacation for much less than what it would cost any other city in the world.
Tokyo Hotel rooms are cheaper, the food in Tokyo costs less, and you have tons of Tokyo Attractions which are free.
Enjoy your stay!
