Tokyo Disney Sea
I hope you don't mind but can I please ask a question? We are a family of five (two adults and three children aged 7, 9, and 11).
I have been researching Tokyo for nearly two years without much success-What has confused me most are what location to stay in and the language? I am so glad that I have stumbled onto your site.
Please suggest some hotels suitable for families and which area would you choose to stay in with kids?
Do you think it necessary to purchase the ebook, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea Secrets?
Kindest Regards,
Belinda

Hi Belinda,
I'm so excited for you and your kids as you're going to have so much fun in Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea!
Tokyo Disney Sea is unique-there is no other Disney park like it in the world, and it is simply spectacular. Disney sea has seven different "worlds", each an exact Replica–to the smallest detail- of Ancient south American ruins, old New York, Arabian city and Captain Nemo's 20,000 League under the sea.
The entrance to Disney Sea is simply breathtaking–an entire Italian medieval village built right into Mediterranean Harbor. Your kids are also at the age that they can go on most rides.
I would start with Disney Sea then, and depending on how many days you have I would spend at least one full day in each of the parks.
My book
"Tokyo Disneyland & Disney Sea Secrets" explains how to get the very much needed fastpass tickets, and how to obtain the maximum (you are limited to a certain amount). This can triple the number of rides you get to board in one day. Remember-crowds at Disney Sea can be heavy. If you don’t get the fastpass you’re going to stand in line for 2 hours instead of 30 min.
By the way-there are some discount tickets for Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea you might want to get more details in my ebook.
The #1 area to stay in is around Tokyo station, since transportation to Disneyland starts there (my book will help you navigate Tokyo station like a pro). Same on the way back.
No need to worry about the language issue as all signs are in English too. Tokyo station is also close to all the great attractions-Ginza, Fish-market, museums, Imperial palace, Tokyo tower and more.
I love
this hotel, I've stayed there when I came with my family and service and location were wonderful.
They also have this great service that they come and take you from the train when you arrive from the airport, help you with the suitcases and get to the hotel which is 3 min walk.
More family friendly hotels in Tokyo are on this page. I've personally checked each and every one, and they get good feedback as places to stay in Tokyo with kids.
I hope this answers your questions.
Happy Travels!
