Japan Current Earthquake Situation
Hello,
The current feeling in Tokyo (April 1) is that everything is back to normal. Shops and supermarkets are fully stocked again with food, water and all other products you can think of. Everything is neatly organized on the shelves.
In Tokyo you really can't tell there was an Earthquake in Japan. Kids are back to school, and parents are back to work. Everything is back to normal.
Thanks to the building technology in japan after repeated earthquakes, no skyscrapers have been damaged during the Japan Earthquake.
Keep in mind that Earthquakes in Japan are very common. A Japan Earthquake occurs almost daily in one part of the country or another, but can hardly be felt.
An Earthquake/Tsunami like this one is awful, scary, and tragic, but very RARE.
In all honesty, the odds are that you would be just fine in June.

I am on the last day of my one week trip to Tokyo, and at the moment I am on a bus going to the Narita airport. I totally agree with the response already provided - Tokyo looks like nothing ever happened here. All is order, peace and cleanliness. Just what you would expect.
I also agree with the comment that earthquakes are a daily phonemenon in Japan. There were several throughout this week, but I only felt one.
I had the same concerns as you about coming, but am glad I made the trip. I hope this helps you go on your trip with less worry. Enjoy yourself!
